Dr. DeManuelle, founder of Allergy and Dermatology Veterinary Referral Center, graduated from the Louisiana State College of Veterinary Medicine and completed an internship in small animal medicine and surgery at The Animal Medical Center in New York City. Dr. DeManuelle was employed in private referral practice and studied veterinary dermatopathology at the Ontario Veterinary College. She completed a dermatology residency at the University of California School of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. DeManuelle was a member of the dermatology faculty at the University of California at Davis, and became board-certified by the American College of Veterinary Dermatology in 1998.

Dr. DeManuelle is an author of numerous articles on canine, feline, and equine skin disorders. She gives continuing education lectures on various dermatology topics to fellow veterinarians both nationally and internationally. Dr. DeManuelle also consults on dermatology cases for Guide Dogs for the Blind, the Portland Zoo, and animal rescue groups.

Dr. DeManuelle is a diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Dermatology, and active member of the American Academy of Veterinary Dermatology, European Society of Veterinary Dermatology, International Society of Veterinary Dermatopathology, American College of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology, and the American Veterinary Medical Association.

Dr. Plant, a native Oregonian, graduated from Reed College and Oregon State University College of Veterinary Medicine, before moving to California in 1988 to train in veterinary dermatology. He became board-certified by the American College of Veterinary Dermatology in 1991 and founded a dermatology referral practice in Marina del Rey, California. He returned to Oregon in 2005 to be closer to his family, becoming one of the first faculty members of the small animal teaching hospital in Corvallis.

Dr. Plant has authored numerous articles and book chapters on skin diseases of dogs, cats, horses and camelids. He has presented his research findings at national as well as international meetings and is frequently sought as a speaker at veterinary conferences. Dr. Plant serves as the veterinary dermatology consultant to the largest general veterinary practice in the country.

Dr. Plant is a diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Dermatology and the Chairman of the ACVD Certifying Examination Committee. He is a member of the American Academy of Veterinary Dermatology, the American Veterinary Medical Association, and the Oregon Veterinary Medical Association.
